Leeds United Bolsters Defense with Signing of Belgian Star Sebastiaan Bornauw
Leeds United secures Belgian international defender Sebastiaan Bornauw from Wolfsburg, strengthening their squad for the upcoming Premier League season.

Leeds United has officially announced the signing of Belgian international defender Sebastiaan Bornauw from Wolfsburg on a four-year deal for a fee of £5.1 million. The 26-year-old center-back, standing at 6ft 3in, is expected to bring both experience and physicality to Leeds' backline as they prepare for their return to the Premier League.
Bornauw, who made his debut for Belgium in 2020, has a wealth of experience in top European leagues. He began his career at Anderlecht before moving to Cologne in 2019, and later joined Wolfsburg, where he featured in the Champions League. Last season, he made 15 Bundesliga appearances, scoring twice.
This signing marks Leeds' third acquisition since their promotion to the Premier League, following the arrivals of Lukas Nmecha and Jaka Bijol. The club has been actively reshaping its squad, with the departure of left-back Junior Firpo, who has joined Real Betis after the expiration of his contract.
Leeds manager Daniel Farke will be looking to integrate Bornauw quickly as the team prepares for their Premier League opener against Everton on August 18. The Belgian defender's arrival is seen as a significant boost to Leeds' defensive options, as they aim to establish themselves in the top flight.
With Bornauw's addition, Leeds United fans can look forward to a more robust and competitive defensive unit, ready to take on the challenges of the Premier League season.
