The Cheltenham Festival witnessed two deeply emotional victories as Marine Nationale and Jazzy Matty triumphed in their respective races, both dedicated to the memory of the late jockey Michael O'Sullivan, who tragically passed away last month.

Marine Nationale, ridden by Sean Flanagan for owner-trainer Barry Connell, claimed a stunning win in the Queen Mother Champion Chase, finishing 18 lengths ahead of the favorite, Jonbon. The victory was particularly poignant as Marine Nationale had previously won the Supreme Novices' Hurdle two years ago under O'Sullivan's guidance. Flanagan paid tribute to his late colleague, stating, "I'm just the man on him today, Michael made him what he is. His family finds it very hard, and jockeys around the world have been feeling the loss."

Shortly after, Jazzy Matty, trained by Cian Collins and ridden by Danny Gilligan, secured a win in the Grand Annual Chase. Gilligan dedicated the victory to O'Sullivan, saying, "I think we all know there is someone very special looking down on us today. That is for Michael."

Meanwhile, Lecky Watson surprised many with a 20-1 win in the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase, and Jimmy Du Seuil triumphed in the Coral Cup at 16-1 odds.

The day concluded with Jody Townend riding Bambino Fever to victory in the Champion Bumper, completing a treble for trainer Willie Mullins.
