Kieran Tierney's heartfelt return to Celtic Park after six years with Arsenal, marked by a stellar performance and a warm welcome from fans.

Kieran Tierney experienced an emotional and triumphant return to Celtic Park during Saturday's friendly match against Newcastle United. The 28-year-old Scotland international, who last played at Celtic Park on April 6, 2019, was introduced in the second half to a roaring cheer from the crowd.
After six years with Arsenal, Tierney expressed his joy and emotions about returning to his first club. "Amazing. I didn't know what to expect but that was just brilliant. What a feeling," he told Celtic TV. "I was quite emotional actually, running on to the park like that. It was a great day for me."
Tierney, who previously won four league titles, two Scottish Cups, and two League Cups with Celtic, made an immediate impact by setting up the fourth goal. His cross led to Liam Scales heading home after a quick one-two with Reo Hatate.
Reflecting on the team's performance, Tierney added, "They're a great team so it just shows the quality that we have got. When we play like that we can give anyone a game. Some of the goals we scored were brilliant."
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers also shared his thoughts on Tierney's return, emphasizing the significance of having a player of his caliber back at the club. "I wanted him to get a specific welcome back," Rodgers explained. "Just to get him back here at his age where he could easily be playing at the top end of the Premier League, to get a player of that level and that desire to play for Celtic is amazing for us."
Rodgers highlighted Tierney's performance against Newcastle's Anthony Elanga, noting his pace and power. "But Kieran's got pace and power. And then you see how he created the goal with that explosive speed and the quality."
This match not only marked Tierney's return but also showcased Celtic's strength and potential for the upcoming season. Fans and players alike are optimistic about what the future holds with Tierney back in the fold.
