Ola Aina Commits Future to Nottingham Forest with New Three-Year Contract

Ola Aina signs a three-year contract with Nottingham Forest, securing his future with the club until 2028.

Ola Aina has officially signed a three-year contract with Nottingham Forest, ensuring his stay at the club until 2028. The Nigeria full-back, who had one year remaining on his previous contract, has been a pivotal figure in Forest's recent success, helping the team secure a seventh-place finish in the Premier League last season. This achievement earned them a spot in the Europa Conference League play-offs.

"I can't wait to continue this journey with the club. It's always felt like a home ever since I joined, and I'm happy to be here," Aina expressed. "Now my focus is on preparing for the new season well and getting back to hard work."

Aina, who began his career at Chelsea, joined Forest from Torino on a free transfer two years ago. Since then, he has made 59 appearances and scored twice. His commitment is part of Forest's broader strategy to secure their key players. Recently, Neco Williams also signed a new deal, and last season's top scorer, Chris Wood, along with defender Murillo, extended their contracts in January.

Forest's manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, was also rewarded with a new three-year contract after leading the team back to European competition for the first time since the 1995-96 season. Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis praised Aina, stating, "Ola has skill, determination, and character in abundance. He epitomizes the culture and hard work we expect from everyone associated with Forest. He has had a big influence since his arrival here, and we look forward to continuing that journey together to help us achieve incredible things."

This new deal underscores Forest's ambition to build on their recent success and compete at higher levels both domestically and in Europe.
