Marc Marquez continued his stellar form in the MotoGP championship with a commanding victory at the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello. The Ducati rider, who had already clinched the sprint race on Saturday, started Sunday's main event from pole position, marking his 100th pole in the premier class.

From the very first corner, the race was a nail-biter, with Marc, his brother Alex Marquez, and local hero Francesco Bagnaia exchanging positions in a high-octane battle. By the ninth lap, Marc Marquez had regained the lead from his brother and never looked back, eventually crossing the finish line to take the chequered flag.

This victory not only extends Marc Marquez's lead in the championship standings to 40 points but also marks his first win in Italy since 2014. The 32-year-old Spaniard expressed his delight, saying, "It's an amazing feeling. We are at a Ducati track, and I know it's super special for them, so it's great to have three Ducatis on the podium."

Francesco Bagnaia, who was aiming for a fourth consecutive win at his home grand prix, had to settle for third place after being overtaken by fellow Italian Fabio di Giannantonio. The championship now heads to Assen for the Dutch Grand Prix, where Marc Marquez will look to further cement his dominance in the 2025 MotoGP season.
