David Moyes Denies Rumors of Richarlison's Everton Comeback

David Moyes dismisses rumors of Richarlison's return to Everton, emphasizing the striker's current commitment to Tottenham.

Everton manager David Moyes has firmly denied any intentions to bring striker Richarlison back to the club this summer. Richarlison, who left Everton for Tottenham in a £60m deal three years ago, has faced challenges with form and fitness at Spurs. Despite reports suggesting Moyes' interest in the 27-year-old, who still has two years remaining on his contract, the Scot has distanced himself from such speculations.

"Richarlison is a really good player and someone I've liked," Moyes stated during a recent news conference. "But I can only tell you there is zero truth in that from my side."

Moyes also addressed comments made by Abdoulaye Doucoure, one of the 13 players whose contracts expire this summer. Doucoure, who has represented Mali twice, expressed on former goalkeeper Ben Foster's podcast that there have been "no talks" regarding a new deal. The 32-year-old midfielder emphasized his unwillingness to accept a pay cut and believes he merits an improved offer from Everton.

"Some of the games he's played very well, but he is obviously no spring chicken, so we have to make sure we have other replacements when required," Moyes added. "We are making lots of decisions behind the scenes. It is good to have so many [players] that want to stay."

Moyes confirmed that Doucoure will be available for Everton's upcoming Premier League fixture at Fulham, having missed the last match against Ipswich due to a "personal issue."
