Windsor Park Transforms into Clearer Twist National Stadium with Landmark Sponsorship Deal
Windsor Park, Northern Ireland's iconic football stadium, is set to be renamed as the Clearer Twist National Stadium following a major eight-year sponsorship agreement.

The Irish Football Association (IFA) has officially announced that Northern Ireland's cherished home ground, Windsor Park, will undergo a significant transformation. Effective immediately, the stadium will be rebranded as the Clearer Twist National Stadium at Windsor Park, thanks to an eight-year sponsorship deal with Clearer Water, a County Antrim-based company.
This renaming comes on the heels of the Clearer Water Irish Cup final, which was held at Windsor Park last Saturday. The event saw Dungannon Swifts clinch their first-ever victory in the competition, marking a historic moment for the team and the stadium.
The 18,500-capacity venue, located in south Belfast, is not only the home of the Northern Ireland national team but also hosts Irish Premiership side Linfield. The next major event scheduled at the newly named stadium is a friendly match against Iceland on 10 June.
Patrick Nelson, IFA Chief Executive, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership: "We have sought a naming partner for our beloved home for many years. A partnership which met all the requirements wasn't available until now. Our relationship with the Clearer Group is already one of collaboration and teamwork, and this new partnership enhances that."
He further emphasized the IFA's commitment to reinvesting the sponsorship funds into football at all levels across Northern Ireland, reinforcing the association's mission to nurture and develop the sport.
Conrad Kirkwood, IFA President, highlighted the significance of this deal, stating that it "marks a new era" for the stadium, which first opened its doors in 1905. "Our stadium is a place we are proud to call home. This new naming rights deal marks a new era for it, and will help us maintain it to ensure we continue to strive for a first-class experience for fans and guests, not to mention the many teams that play here from right across our footballing community," said Kirkwood.
Ross Lazaroo-Hood, owner of the Clearer Group, shared his vision for the partnership: "Over the coming year, we'll be supporting the national team while also investing in grassroots initiatives and local sporting events across Northern Ireland. Our goal is to bring fans an exciting new chapter - one that embraces a new twist while honoring the proud traditions of Northern Irish football."
This landmark deal not only secures the financial future of the stadium but also promises to enhance the overall experience for fans and players alike, ensuring that Windsor Park remains a cornerstone of Northern Irish football for years to come.
