Carlton Fairweather was a remarkable figure in the football world. Born in Camberwell, he started his journey in non-League teams like Dulwich Hamlet, Bromley, and Tooting and Mitcham United. Joining Wimbledon at 23, he was part of the infamous Crazy Gang. Despite missing the 1988 FA Cup final due to injury, he made significant contributions. After leaving Wimbledon, he played abroad and had a long coaching career at Sunderland. His passing at 63 is a loss to the football community.
