The incident: In Wednesday's Merseyside derby at Anfield, James Tarkowski made a tackle on Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister. Tarkowski was booked but the refereeing body later said he should have been sent off. This led to online death threats towards him and his family. Reactions: Everton issued a statement, strongly condemning the threats. Tarkowski's wife Samantha expressed her disgust. Everton manager David Moyes also commented on the incident.
