Morant took to X to express his admiration for McClung's performance, stating, "Mac might make me decide to dunk." He didn't stop there; he extended an invitation to Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon, both of whom have had legendary dunk contest performances in the past.

LaVine, who last competed in the dunk contest in 2016, responded with a teasing tweet: "Thinking I might have to again...." This has sparked speculation that the Sacramento Kings guard might make a return to the contest, much to the delight of basketball fans.

McClung's performance was historic, with all four of his dunks scoring a perfect 50. According to ESPN Research, he joins an elite group of players, including LaVine (2016) and Gordon (2020), who have achieved this feat in a single contest.

The excitement doesn't stop there. Giannis Antetokounmpo, the two-time MVP, also showed interest in joining the contest. He joked about his preparation, saying, "I just gotta to warm up for 3 weeks prior to the contest." Antetokounmpo's participation would add another layer of anticipation to the event.
